Privacy Policy

What we collect, why, and how to opt out.

Last updated 29 October 2026

The privacy of our visitors matters to us. This page explains what information funny-insults.com collects and how it is used.

Log files

Like most websites, funny-insults.com keeps server log files. These include IP addresses, browser type, date and time stamps and referring pages. They are used to run and secure the site and to understand overall traffic trends, and are not linked to any personally identifiable information.

Voting

When you vote on an insult we store a one-way hash of your IP address so each visitor can vote once per insult. We never store your raw IP address with your vote. Your browser also remembers which insults you have voted on using local storage.

Cookies and advertising

We use Google AdSense to show advertising. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more at how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are shown Google's consent message before personalised ads are served.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, such as which pages are popular. It uses cookies and collects information such as pages visited and approximate location. In the UK, EEA and Switzerland, analytics cookies are only set once you consent. You can opt out entirely with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Managing cookies

You can disable cookies through your browser settings. More information about managing cookies in specific browsers can be found on the browsers' own websites.
